Hit or misss. Well organized, but there were still lines to wait in. Water levels cannot be controlled so sometimes it takes longer to go downriver. Very friendly people though and even without the autumn colors yet it was a beautiful sight to see. At the end of the river trip the forest and attractions were very crowded but still worth it.
This was a great day! The train is a great way to see so much of Japan’s beauty. They canceled the boat on our day bc of high winds which gave us much more free time in arashiyama. I’d do it again to experience the boat! We did so much- both bamboo forests, rickshaw, lunch, shopping, and money park (the climb up is real yet the views and monkeys are worth it!!)
Me and my wife had a great time! Our tour guide was really great, she made the schedule change up worth the experience by taking us to a beautiful Gold Temple :)
